Tween Bedroom Decorating

A while ago I was decorating my room - it's fun and ideas fly! Here are some tips to turn your boring space into an amazing hang out!

Paint and wallpaper - Choosing the right paint or wallpaper is very important, depending on your interests anything can happen. If your an older tween I saw a really cool wallpaper at the hairdressers the other day with a mirror print on it. NEVER go with white. Yes it goes with pretty much everything but it takes alot more to add fun to your room. Colours like green, pink, orange, red and blue are very popular.

Lighting - Consider your needs. A desk for homework? you need a table lamp. Read before bed? you need a floor lamp. Just plainly decorative? Fairy lights. Be sure to pick a cool one for your ceiling as well because your going to stare alot at it at night time.

Wall art - Cheap wall art is available in most places now. I have one with cool owls I got for 50p at a bargain store. Posters and canvas's count aswell. TIP: Don't use ones out of magazines as the curl at the edges and add a really messy feel to your new dream bedroom.

Bedding & Pillows - Choose the bedding to match your theme aswell as some decorative pillows which if you get big enough ones you could put on your floor next to a radiator for a great chill space.

Remember to put your personalty into your room and get your friends round for a sleepover when it's all finished! Or even have them round to discuss ideas for your new pad!

So every two weeks the best magazine in the world goes on sale with everything from a free gift to a fashion update. While most magazines cost a pricey £3.99 here in NI this only costs £2.30 so when you spend your pocket money you still have some to spare.

Worlds most amazing author? Simple!

Cathy Cassidy is the new Jacqueline Wilson! With around eleven books out and one on the way she is by far the best. Disagree? Tell me in the comments! It's not just my blog y'know, it's yours too!

Welcome to Flying Sparks, the blog for tween girls! Wondering what a tween is? A mispelling for teen? A type of wacko dog? Neither of those! It's a girl between the ages of eight and thirteen all over the world!

I post whatever I want from awesome mags to fave songs! The blogs title was inspired by Selena Gomez's song. As the cold, winter days are coming up I thought this was the best time to start up a blog.
